Is the game free?

Yes. UNO · Four Colors is completely free to play. The site is supported by advertising, which lets us keep it free for everyone.

Do I need to download or install anything?

No. The game runs entirely in your web browser. Just open the page and press Play.

Do I need to create an account?

No account or sign-up is required. You can set a display name, which is stored only in your own browser.

How many players can play?

You can play in 2-, 3-, or 4-player modes against computer opponents. Choose the number of players on the start screen.

Can I play on my phone?

Yes. The game works on modern mobile and tablet browsers as well as on desktop.

What are the rules?

Match the top discard card by color, number, or symbol; use action and Wild cards to your advantage; and be the first to empty your hand. Our How to Play guide explains every rule, card, and scoring detail.

What is “stacking”?

Stacking is an optional house rule. When it's on, a player hit with a +2 or +4 can respond with the same card to pass the growing penalty to the next player. You can toggle it on the setup screen. See the rules guide for details.

Why do I have to say “UNO”?

When you're down to one card you must call UNO by tapping the button. If you forget and get caught, you draw 2 penalty cards.

Is this the official UNO game?

No. UNO · Four Colors is an independent, fan-made game for entertainment. It is not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by Mattel, Inc.
